A typical information highway view of an island late morning sky in February. As with many other uncut pics, the electrical lines are an unavoidable part of the view locally. The lines are strewn everywhere throughout the island…..

***Know the “catch phrases” of the environment – these are the once meaningful words which are tossed about manipulatively to induce emotional reactions.
A closer look at the sun as it is engulfed by morning clouds….

***When someone says another person is about “nothing but money”, stand back and take a hard look at which of the two is trying to “steal” the other person’s assets.
A pic of this morning’s sun as it lights up the island sky as viewed through all the man-made clutter that sprung up around our home about 9 – 12 years ago….

***Jerk (a definition) – someone who is behaving like a jerk; knows it; and doesn’t care….that’s why they are a jerk.
After posting a few minutes ago, I ran into this story about sickening behavior of the inhumane treatment of a defenseless puppy. What is wrong with these people? Has a large number of youth totally lost all connection to humanity?
I came to Okinawa in 1973 and have lived here for most of the past thirty-two years. And although I agree with the need to have consideration for differing opinions, I also believe there must be an understanding of what is just too ridiculous on either side. I found this article in the opinion section and can only hope it is meant to be humorous, because it is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read!
P.S. I’m a redhead and yes we do get it pretty bad while growing up. But let’s get real, the type of people that tease redheads about it would just try to find something else to ridicule if you weren’t.
So many gripes, so little time. That seems to be life surrounding the service industry. While doing research I have been able to find an oulet for those who are sick and tired of customer arrogance. However, I haven’t been able to pin down a single site strictly dedicated to customer service complaints. There are many individual rant, consultant, and a rate customer service sites. And then there are some plain old common sense, middle of the road approaches to the topic.
If you have been keeping up with recent comments, Brad and I have been discussing some of the situations that occur in the service industry. It seems no matter where you are in the world, this is an ongoing issue. From grocery stores to restaurants, there is a major communication gap in personal beliefs as to what is acceptable behavior in those who are customers towards persons and businesses suppling the product!
The behavior of these two is soooo ridiculous that I couldn’t help think that maybe someone should introduce this salesclerk and this customer. Then they could spend their time target practicing each other on dates!
