More Backyard Munchies

Now that the island downpours have taken a break, the bushes in our front yard are beginning to bloom again.

This is a hanging basket made out of vine, which can get quite thick on island. There are various places locally where the vine handicrafts can be seen.

After the incessant rains of the past few weeks, this is the only remaining flower in a neighborhood flowerbed that is usually covered with blooms of all sorts.

This is a Korean flower tree bloom. It is suppose to have some medicinal properties from what I’ve been told. I just like the way it looks (like an upsidedown lilly).

Well we just had Jaco’s birthday a few weeks ago and now it’s Kato’s turn. Here is a pic of his birthday goodies.

Well another sunless day at hand. Some the local flora just adapt and blossom anyway, bringing small bits of color into the grayish gloom that is so prevalent in the sky during the “rainy season”.
