This a a ceramic vase I picked up at a local “country fair” type vendor about fifteen years ago. I liked it because of the earthiness projected and the imperfection of a tiny crack in the decoration at the top of the vase, which generated a sense of antiquity.

This wind chime, made of sea shells and stones, is a handicraft I picked up several years ago on one of the smaller islands surrounding Okinawa.

These beautiful purple flower blossoms are growing in the neighborhood treetops.

One of the local wildflowers that can be found just about everywhere. (It’s actually more purple in color, but because the afternoon sun was soooo bright the color was washed out in the pic.)

This variety of moss rose is seen frequently on island and looks similar to miniture carnations.
