This is a serving set with the popular pattern that is similar to the commemorative Santa plate. Notice the texture of the brown areas. This is how one can tell the difference in the workmanship of the wares. In the serving set, the graininess of the wares begin to smooth over time with usage. (The bowls have been used much more frequently than the plate.)
