With the brunt of typhoon season upon us, it’s nice to have charming ways to relax during the storms. This is a pic of another ’70s era brass incense burner and a sun candle holder.

Mini Incense Burner

Growing up in the ’60s, I tend to have a thing for incense – very calming. Nowadays the benefits of incense have lost the “hippie” images and been promoted to the “yuppie/new age” term “aroma therapy”. This is a decorative miniture cone burner that came in the incense set. I find it too cute to use.

Ceramic Ware Set

This is a serving set with the popular pattern that is similar to the commemorative Santa plate. Notice the texture of the brown areas. This is how one can tell the difference in the workmanship of the wares. In the serving set, the graininess of the wares begin to smooth over time with usage. (The bowls have been used much more frequently than the plate.)

This is a serving plate that uses a very popular earthy design seen in many ceramic works on island.
