Gosh Dawn I was reading in the Japan update where the Marines were breaking up the Taxi,s again HAHA..I see this every time I go to the JET.I guess they do it here because in the states the Taxi drivwer would just pull a Gun out on them!!!.Of course they have denied all charges!.I myself do not get involved in what they do or do not do.But it tends to be embarrassing when our Okinawa freinds bring it up to us..

The first I heard of any commotion going on was from a taxi driver on Saturday night when I was going into work. He didn’t say exactly what had happened only that there had been difficulties in both Koza and Naha on Friday. Our crowd on Friday consisted of regulars and several young people with their parents. I guess some kids were back on winter vacation from college; and some parents from stateside were visiting their kids. In fact the only disorderly person we had all weekend was an overly enthusiastic local female who wouldn’t leave other people alone long enough for them to view the entertainment, the band.
And yes the fact that we are obviously not a regular local tends to put us in the situation where many of the locals think we should have some disgrace in what other non-locals do. Bottom line, as far as I’m concerned, how do the locals act when the situation is the other way around and it’s one of their own causing the ruckus? Do we have the same right to ask each and every one of them to be responsible for the other person’s irresponsibility?

Thank you for your unwaivering support over all these years Brad. I agree the new cover song sounds “not bad at all”.HAHA!!!
As far as the “good drunk/bad drunk” thing, I belong to the school of thought that suggests alcohol doesn’t turn an individual in to an arse, it just makes the fact that an individual is one more obvious!!
Don’t forget to tell the Mrs. “Hello and have a Happy New Year” for us. And we hope you have a safe and happy holiday too.
