Up on On
Well the games are officially over and I sit watching the closing ceremonies. These were very good and exciting games. But now it’s time to continue on and start up with the challenges of learning new things and creating new projects.

Well here it is, almost the end of the Winter Olympics. The past two weeks of ultimate winter fun has been very enjoyable. But I must admit, it will be nice to be able to focus on whatever project I am working on without getting lost in the thrill of watching the top athletes that have been competing.
I first heard about this over at BoingBoing. What about the loss of crunchiness? True I don’t like the stuff dripping all over my hands on a hot summer’s day, but how lazy can one get!!!
I’ve been trying to do some very necessary housekeeping of the overall jet-okinawa site today. It’s not easy to stay focused on the project though. The Olympic competitions are exceptionally interesting today. Anyway, I think I was able to clean most of the site. If you run into any bugs, please let me know. Thank you.
I’ve been trying to work out a problem in one of my blogs. This process ended up eating my whole day away. Once more I’m in luck that the weather is not all that pleasant outside, so I don’t feel as though I’m missing out by being locked inside all day.
As if having Olympic Games to enjoy isn’t enough, tonight is the Datona 500. Luckily, the weather is cooperating with the “couch potato” scenario. The winter rains and chilly temperature provide a cozy back drop to a day of relaxation and allow for premium “boob tube” gawking.
I click on the TV to catch a glimspe of today’s Olympic events. The first thing I see is “skeleton” runs. Now I really don’t remember ever seeing this event before. I thought luge was just about as bare minimum as it got when it came to “man” challenging the icy speed courses, until today that is. Basically skeleton is luge, but the atheletes are sledding down the course as fast as possible – face first! Big kids having fun in the winter snow.
The other day I ran across a very adorable “kitten” on Cute Overload (check out thier 12 Feb post under the kittens category). It seems there’s a little Koza over at the San Diego Zoo. You can also view a video of Koza.
The very dramatic couples figure skating just finished. What an emotional up and down roller coaster that was. But watching the Tonight Show in the middle of the afternoon, is sooooo weird.
