This wind chime, made of sea shells and stones, is a handicraft I picked up several years ago on one of the smaller islands surrounding Okinawa.

One of the local wildflowers that can be found just about everywhere. (It’s actually more purple in color, but because the afternoon sun was soooo bright the color was washed out in the pic.)

This variety of moss rose is seen frequently on island and looks similar to miniture carnations.
