Emerging Sun – Okinawa 2006
I was out trying to capture some of the local bird song this morning and was lucky enough to also catch a few photos of the midmorning sun as it emerged from a billowy cloud.

Well if you’ve been keeping up with the sight, then you already know I’ve been experimenting with the video portion of blogging. Here is the first attempt at creating a video completely from scratch (no pre-recorded video in the project). The meal is for the amateur foodie portion of this sight, Innie-or-Outie, which was created because of the large number of food-oriented posts that were taking up too much of this sight. The video was created from original pictures taken while I was cooking the meal and self-recorded audio instructions.

After having so much difficulty with getting my videos uploaded at YouTube, I checked into other free video sharing services. I ran across one called JussPress. It allows drag and drop uploading directly to the site from your PC. (However, you should know videos are limited to two minutes and it is a family site.) The site also supports photo sharing and posting to blogs. After signing up, use the help section for a complete rundown of how to accomplish all tasks.

Here is a short version of the video that I captured the picture of the hawk (below) from:
(It takes a few moments to load. To rewind and play, right click.)
I’ve been trying to get YouTube to upload a version for almost 4 hours, with no luck. I don’t know if they are too busy or are just having some server difficulties.
I’ve just added a new feature to the site, videos. Here is my first effort at videoblogging – a relaxing 2 minute break.
Or you can view the video with audio here.
