JAWing On – Life on Okinawa

I normally don’t get caught up in all the hype surrounding celebs. But the mass fallout from the Brit’s latest escapade has me wondering why isn’t anyone asking the obvious. We’re looking at the public undoing of a young “new mother”! Could there be a possibility of postpartum blues and/or some other chemistry gone awry within the woman’s system due to the pregnancy?

For those who still might not know, today is the Chinese New Year (of the boar) Eve. When I arrived on island in 1973, this was a time for celebration and many of the local merchants closed their shops in recognition of the holiday. Now-a-days, most of the welcoming of the new cycle is held over the January 1 – 3 time frame. Anyway, have a Happy New Year of the Boar!!!
