***When someone says, “Everyone is the same,” it’s best to decipher if they are being empathic with the thought behind the statement being, “I’m no better than anyone else;” or justifing behavior with the thought behind the statement being, “I’m no worse than anyone else.”

…Sometimes what appears to be rude behavior in a person is just a response to the realization that another person is trying to feign manners in order to manipulate a situation.

***One way to help determine if a situation is one of prejudice is to stand back and evaluate whether the same behavior being displayed would occur towards anyone with the same ideology regardless of race, gender, nationality, etc. Or, are you just an unfortunate individual who happens to be in the path of a person or group, with a differing ideology, gone to extremes trying to build a legacy?
